Poliche




A long-term stage project where I had the pleasure of taking on various roles (performeur, videographer, photographer, bird of paradise…) With the dance company L’heure du rat led by Gabrielle Smith. Places where the poliches were observed : Théâtre à Villerville, Doc ! , Lafayette Anticipations, Pauline perplexe.

“ The poliches are real beings: they are the product of Gabrielle Smith Hamilton's imagination, inspired by Greek tragedies and Neapolitan comedies. […] they seem to express the futility of their earthly existence with gentleness, humour and resignation, as well as their vain inability to escape these troublesome thoughts. Puppets without puppeteers, negations of Ubu, charmers of the unspeakable, guardians of a distant past and a recent childhood.”
