Chants

A series of diptychs taken from the installation project Chants du Monde. I asked my subjects to listen to the landscape. The landscape next to them might be the one they hear, or the one they imagine while listening.
The immense size of the prints invites viewers to “discover” a face in its finest geological details; as
if they were seeing it for the first time.
Some people experience an ambivalent feeling that responds both to these fragments of harmony that I have sought to capture in their fragility and their inevitable melancholy.
