The window of a train becomes a projection screen, filled with thoughts, reminiscences and subliminal apparitions. A narrative structure takes shape from what could be a matter of chance.  As in some of Poussin’s paintings, human distress is only a detail in a picture that goes beyond it – where the world blindly follows its course – and makes us feel how ordinary, and therefore unbearable, this violence is.
